About the Role:
The HSE & Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant working environment across the factory. This role supports a new factory setup, helping to establish health, safety, environmental, and security practices from the start. The key focus is on accident prevention, safe working conditions, and effective site security, particularly during the factory ramp‑up phase.
Role Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Ensure safe working conditions across all production and support areas.
Monitor daily operations to identify safety risks and unsafe behaviours.
Take corrective actions to prevent accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Support the implementation of HSE procedures, rules, and guidelines.
Track and support sustainability‑related targets, including waste reduction, energy use, and environmental compliance.
Safety Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Conduct regular safety inspections and workplace checks.
Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Work closely with production and support teams to resolve safety issues and prevent recurrence.
Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across the factory.
Greenfield Setup & Ramp‑up Support
Support the setup of safety processes, rules, and controls for a new factory.
Ensure safety readiness during equipment installation, trial runs, and commissioning.
Work closely with Production and Engineering during ramp‑up to maintain safe operations.
Training & Awareness
Deliver safety training and inductions for employees and contractors.
Ensure workers understand safety requirements and comply with procedures.
Promote awareness of safe working practices across all areas.
Security Management
Supervise site security operations, including security guards and access control.
Ensure effective control of people, vehicles, and materials entering and leaving the site.
Identify and manage security risks, taking preventive actions where required.
Emergency Response
Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
Ensure readiness for fire, accidents, and other emergency situations.
Act promptly to control and manage emergencies when they occur.
Compliance & Coordination
Ensure compliance with company policies and local HSE and security regulations.
Maintain basic HSE and security records and documentation.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, HR, and Admin teams to support daily operations while maintaining safety and security standards.
Oversee HSE aspects of contractor and vendor activities on site and coordinate with external HSE consultants when required.
What you'll need:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environment, or a related field is preferred.
5–8 years of experience in HSE and/or security roles within a manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting factory setup or production ramp‑up is a strong advantage.
Experience managing security guards, contractors, or service providers is preferred.
Good understanding of workplace safety practices and risk prevention.
Strong attention to detail with a hands‑on, shopfloor‑focused approach.
Good communication and coordination skills.
English proficiency at working level.
