About the Role:
The Production Manager is responsible for leading daily production operations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient performance at Zotefoams Vietnam. This role plays a key part in supporting a new factory setup, guiding the transition from equipment installation and trial runs through to full-scale production. The focus is on building process stability, improving efficiency, and developing a strong, disciplined production team.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily production operations across all production stages, ensuring output, quality, and delivery targets are achieved.
Maintain smooth production flow and effective shift operations.
Monitor production conditions to ensure stable and consistent processes, identifying issues early and taking corrective action.
Work closely with Engineering to resolve production issues and improve process performance.
Support equipment installation, trial runs, commissioning, and production start-up activities.
Stabilise operations during factory ramp-up and improve line efficiency post start-up.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Reduce scrap, downtime, and production losses by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
Support development and adoption of Lean manufacturing practices across production operations.
Lead and develop Production Supervisors and shift teams, building capability, discipline, and accountability.
Manage manpower planning, shift arrangements, and daily workforce deployment.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and workplace discipline.
Work closely with QA to resolve quality issues and reduce defects.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with EHS standards.
Support implementation of systems and practices aligned with future ISO certification requirements.
Coordinate effectively with Engineering, QA, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure production plans are executed successfully.
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical manufacturing experience will also be considered.
8–12 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a production leadership role.
Experience in process-driven industries such as foam, polymer, plastics, or similar manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience with factory setup, commissioning, or production ramp-up is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of production processes and operational flow in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in improving process stability, yield, productivity, and performance.
Familiarity with production KPIs such as OEE, yield, productivity, and downtime.
Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on, shopfloor-focused approach.
Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Good cross-functional communication and coordination skills.
English proficiency at working level.
