About the Role:

We are looking for a practical and reliable Facilities Handyperson to provide an efficient building and site maintenance service at our Croydon site. This is a hands‑on role supporting the day‑to‑day upkeep, safety and presentation of our facilities, working closely with the Facilities Manager and wider site teams.

You will play an important role in ensuring a safe, well‑maintained working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors.

Role Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive building and site maintenance across the site, both internally and externally

• Undertake a wide range of general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, joinery, tiling, painting and decorating

• Support maintenance of roads, walkways, drainage and external areas

• Assist with site security arrangements when required, including shutdowns

• Monitor contractors on site, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard

• Carry out routine facilities checks covering health & safety, hygiene, cleaning and general site condition

• Support additional facilities services such as waste management, porterage and general site upkeep

• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety legislation, safe systems of work and company procedures

• Undertake other reasonable facilities‑related duties as required to support the wider site
  

What you'll need:

• Proven experience in a facilities, maintenance, caretaker or handyperson role

• Practical skills across general building maintenance and repairs

• Good working knowledge of health & safety requirements within a workplace environment

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

• A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to support the wider team

• Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
