About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across our Spanish operations.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring full compliance with Spanish legislation and Group standards, while driving a proactive, safety-first culture across multiple sites. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational support, working closely with site leadership to minimise risk and support operational excellence.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead all Health, Safety and Environmental activity across the Anglesola and Burgos sites
Act as the key advisor to site leadership on HSE legislation, compliance and best practice
Develop and implement HSE strategy aligned with Group objectives
Drive a strong safety-first culture across all levels of the organisation
Ensure HSE management systems are in place, maintained and continuously improved
Maintain compliance with ISO standards and Spanish regulatory requirements
Lead incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented
Conduct audits, inspections and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement
Support operational teams with risk assessments, safe systems of work and hazard mitigation
Design and deliver HSE training and awareness initiatives
Promote engagement and accountability for HSE across all employees
Monitor and report HSE performance metrics to site and Group leadership
What you'll need:
Relevant HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of Spanish HSE legislation and compliance requirements
Experience with ISO standards and HSE management systems
Proven experience in an HSE leadership role within manufacturing or industrial environments
Experience driving cultural change and improving safety performance
Strong leadership and influencing skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
Fluent English is essential (both written and spoken)
