About the Role:
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our Zotefoams Poland operation, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth, accurate and timely flow of materials and finished goods between production, warehouse and customers.
This is a hands on operational role with strong exposure to warehouse operations, production fulfilment and logistics coordination. You will work closely with production, quality, planning, sales and transport partners to support short lead times, high service levels and error free delivery in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations (Inbound, Internal & Outbound)
• Manage inbound deliveries including quantity and quality checks, scanning, labelling and system registration
• Ensure correct put away of materials in line with FIFO/FEFO principles
• Support internal material flow to production including kanban, milk run and call off processes
• Carry out accurate picking and packing in line with customer, product and industry requirements
• Prepare outbound shipments including delivery notes, transport documents, SSCC labels and carrier coordination
• Support cycle counts and full inventory counts, investigating and correcting discrepancies
Production Fulfilment & Make to Order Flow
• Respond to production signals and launch immediate picking and shipping activities
• Prioritise orders based on shipping windows, customer SLAs and transport constraints
• Support cross docking and direct flow from production to dispatch where required
• Coordinate with Quality on batch release, blocking, labelling and traceability
• React quickly to plan changes including re prioritisation, consolidation or split shipments
Systems, Documentation & Reporting
• Process all logistics transactions in WMS and ERP systems
• Prepare, generate and archive logistics and shipping documentation
• Maintain accurate warehouse and logistics master data
• Support daily and shift based reporting on performance and issues
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Work closely with production, quality, planning, sales and transport teams
• Participate in daily operational meetings
• Escalate risks related to shortages, transport delays or quality blocks
• Analyse picking errors and inventory issues and propose corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and process optimisation
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Work in line with all health, safety and environmental standards
• Ensure correct labelling, documentation and material security at all times
What you'll need:
• Experience in logistics, warehouse operations or production fulfilment within a manufacturing environment
• Hands on experience using WMS and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Dynamics or similar)
• Understanding of FIFO/FEFO, traceability, labelling and packing standards
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with short lead times and changing priorities
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
• Working knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement tools is an advantage
• Forklift licence and transport knowledge are beneficial
• Communicative level of English
